Blessed greetings in Christ’s Name.

The Kingdom of God is advancing in Klang city. More and more migrant workers of various nationalities are confessing Jesus as their Savior and King. Migrant Ministry Klang (MMK) has been diligently at this task of reaching the migrant workers with the Gospel for the past eight years. With the network and partnership of all the churches in Klang, they are breaking forth into new paradigm and dimension of ministry. MMK’s Migrant Pastors of various nationalities (Vietnam, Nepal, Myanmar, Indonesia and India) have been the pertinent force behind the bountiful harvest MMK enjoy every year.

‘Ekklesia’ is the Greek word for Church. In the New Testament it is used in two different ways. It is used sometimes to describe the people of God when they are gathered together for worship. It is also used other times to describe the people of God when they are scattered out there in the workplace or marketplace. One day in a week you will find the ‘Ekklesia’ gathered in a place. But six days a week you will find the ‘Ekklesia’ of Christ, the people of God dispersed in the workplace.

When you talk about workplace today, what comes to your mind in the hundreds of thousands of migrants of various nationalities as a pertinent workforce in Malaysia. It is among this groups of people, MMK and other migrant ministries are successfully building the ‘Ekklesia’ of God.

In John 10:16, Christ claimed that there are other sheep, not of this fold, that must be saved also. Today these ‘other sheep’ are responding positively to the voice of God. MMK has been the ‘prophetic voice’ of God in the marketplace ushering these sheep into the fold of Christ. Hebron Mission Center Klang pledges its support to MMK in this endeavor.

May God continue to empower MMK to continually advance in the Kingdom Purposes!

I used to be a teacher and I taught English in a Chinese school. It was good to be surrounded by children and the learning experience was excellent but something was missing. As I was approaching 59, I was seriously wanting to give up the hectic life and do ‘something else’ but what? Somehow that year went by and I found myself back in school the following year, but that feeling kept returning and I prayed for a decision. Slowly the burden was beginning to get lighter and the decision to resign was no longer posing as a burden and I was preparing to leave anyway.

Sister Rina, who was working with me at that time, was involved with the Migrant Ministry and she mentioned that they were looking for someone to work in the office. Within weeks everything was falling into place and my resignation letter found its rightful place, at the principal’s table!

I have been here in the MMK office since December, 2007 and it has made a huge difference in my life. The work itself is very different from that of a teacher and of course it took some adjusting but today, the Lord is steering my ship.

I am blessed with three wonderful children and with God’s hand working in our lives we have a good relationship and we are all so thankful to God.

The office is in the guest house which has three rooms and two baths. We have visitors very often. We have been blessed with this house, only good things happen here.

Today, like every other Friday, we have our pastors’ fellowship. We have lunch which is prepared by Pas. Raj. He enjoys cooking it’s his hobby. We chat and have fun followed by worship. We have two pastors from Myanmar, one from Vietnam, one from India(Telegu) and one from Nepal. We are waiting for another pastor from Nepal and for the return of our Indonesian pastor. God is present – you can see this among these young pastors who go out and spread the Word of God. They are young men and women who have left their families behind yet they have their focus, isn’t God present?

It is truly amazing to hear their voices ringing out with praises and coming together as one happy family, as God’s children.

I feel special here. Finally I feel I am in the right place at the right time. All glory to God. All we have to do is to allow Him to come into our lives and make the changes ….. and He is waiting at the door. God bless you all.
