Cambodian Ministries

From time to time we need to remind ourselves why we have missionaries. It is because of a commandment from the Lord, who said:

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. –Mark16:15

This commandment is one of many that have been renewed because the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored in its fullness. Missionaries serve now just as they did in New Testament times. The book of Acts describes early missionary labours of the Apostles and other disciples following the Lord’s ministry. The missionaries’ responsibility is to “ lead others to come unto Christ receiving the gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.”

Many people going out the country to preach the gospel. But we are not aware that years after another, our country has been flooded with foreigners from all over the world. Aren’t this an open door, waiting for us to invite them into the heaven’s door?

When I was called to serve in this Cambodian ministry, not knowing that how many souls will be save, but to serve and obey Him who is above all, I’m glad. By faith believing that at the right time the harvest will be multiply and His Kingdom will extend in His mighty hand. He call His servants to serve and to love others. And so I have decided to follow Him knowing that He is the potter and I am the clay. Bible says :

The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few; therefore pray the Lord of

the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest. – Luke 10:2

And remembering that He will provide! He is our ‘Jehovah Jireh’ In the very beginning, to start up the Cambodian ministry is indeed a challenge having the problems to build the relationship, trust & language. But God is good, He provide a translator helping to break the wall. As time goes by, the Cambodians come and go and it doesn’t seem to grow. God provide2 Christians sisters who sincerely willing to serve the Lord. Day after another, never give up inviting their friends. We gather together and pray that God will show us the path. And later we decided to have our fellowship at their home.

We organized a trip with the pastor from Cambodia. Here we see how our Lord do His miracle, started to open their heart & the relationship were build. Today, we have build a small fellowship group consist of average 20 to 30 of them. We can see the changes in them, become more cheerful and always thirst of His Words and seek for the truth. We are in the mist of building and training leader, so that they can handle their own home church when they are back to their country. Today there maybe only 6 of them who are truly preparing for baptism, but tomorrow only God knows.

Seeds has been sown, God will multiply in His right timing.

We will continue this journey preparing the road for His coming…

Greetings from the Bangladesh Migrant Ministry.

Praises and thanks to God that by His grace and through MMK, we have started a ministry among the Bangladeshi migrant workers. It is laudable that an increasing number of brothers and sisters are giving voluntary service in this ministry.

Present Activities:

We are visiting and distributing tracts, audio and video CDs in various factories and market places for their growth and knowledge.

We have started English classes in Telok Gong as it has always been a powerful avenue to reach out to the migrants.

Future Plans (Mission and Vision):

Computer and Bible Study classes and small prayer groups in Telok Gong.

By the grace of God one day we will have a few preaching stations for Bangladeshi migrants and they will declare that Jesus Christ is their Saviour.

I am most thankful to MMK for their great challenge and missionary zeal. I do hope and pray that through this ministry many more souls will be saved and ultimately God will be glorified.

I came to Malaysia on 20th October, 2007. My wife and I were expecting out first child in November of that year. Like any young man, who is going to be a father for the first time, I wanted to be with my wife and enjoy the arrival of my first child. But … God was calling me. I turned towards my Heavenly Father and asked for Him to speak to me. When I came here it was difficult to adjust and I was missing home but when God puts His hand on something, it only goes one way – for the better.

My son, Steven was born on 17th November, 2007, while I was playing a game of cricket with my new brothers. I am now with MMK and am very happy. There are about six of us, all young pastors who live in one house as one family. We

have a good relationship and share our problems, joy and food! I can cook and I enjoy an added blessing when everyone is happy when I cook for our Pastors Friday Fellowship. Bro. Peter Siah has been very kind during my times of sadness. He is the one who discovered my ability to cook and encouraged me to cook. This brought me closer to the other members of this new family. I also thank Bro. David Abraham who is present every week at the Wesley Methodist Church Klang. This is very important to the foreigners who are here.

Now, almost one year later, I am able to move around on my own to meet up with fellow Telugu brothers. I also meet regularly with non-believers. The Telugu fellowship is small but I believe it will grow. The Telugu brothers who come from India are from a Hindu background and it takes time to reach out to them.

Please pray for me and the brothers and sisters. I am happy to say that we had one brother who was baptized on 15th June, 2008. ‘When man works…. man works but when man prays … God works!’
