Nepal Ministry
…Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it. Matthew 16:20
After the successful campaign of project “Feeding 5000” three months ago, God has opened us another door to reach out the Nepali Migrants through the movie project. We named this project as ‘Project Transformation’ – after the name of the movie.
The movie ‘Parivartan’ – (Transformation) is an amazing story of young drug dealers back in Nepal. The story somewhat runs parallel to the David Wilkerson movie “The Cross and the Switch Blade”. This movie was shown in various preaching stations, (Klang, Kapar, Sri Muda, Telokgong, Telok Panglima garang), there are still few strategic places left, like Meru, Port Klang and Mission house one, etc.

Our project team prayer goes like this “Lord, Please bring transformation in the lives of these people who are watching the movie “Transformation”. After the movie campaign, we received overwhelming responses from various places. People began to ask for the Bible, tracts and Jesus movie. New people began to flock in the church. We are totally amazed.

Campaign
The Year 2009 has been much fruitful year in terms of evangelism, discipleship and leadership training. Every two months the full phase evangelistic meetings have been holding since January 2009. The project ‘Feeding 5000 ‘motivated the Nepali leaders to pray and reach out for those who are hungry and lost in the migrant world. The Bible league stood in a good stead by helping us to print 20,000 Nepali tracts which we distributed during our evangelistic campaign. We were praying for great ‘revival’ among the Nepali migrants, – a breakthrough in the lives of the Nepali migrants. God answered our prayer by bringing thousands of migrants in the evangelistic campaign and many responded to the invitation of our Lord Jesus. Besides the evangelistic campaign we also had street evangelism; the evangelistic team in the hot sun performed a dance, song, and skit and finally shared a gospel. The responsive of the people was amazing.

Training
The evangelism campaign brought many souls in the kingdom of God. The great opportunity was waiting for us to disciple them unto Christ-like-ness. For that very purpose, every month especially during the public holidays, we conduct our discipleship training, simultaneously; we also give intensive leadership training for our leaders. Last month we conducted training where 56 participants took part. The topic of the training was “How to study your Bible?” The computer class in MH 1 has been a great boon especially for the Nepali Migrants both believers and non-believers. If we drop in to the computer class on Sunday, you will see many non-believers in the class; surprisingly many of them also attend the church after the class. We do not coerce them. Some of them have already accepted the Lord because of the computer class. Hallelujah !

Library
We are also on the verge of setting up a small library in MH 1 for the Nepali migrants. The objective of the library is to build up the faith of our believers and also to impart the theological knowledge in some degree. The library will consist of biblical books, magazine, periodicals, Weekly Newspaper and Audio/Video tools. This library will also pave a way for the non-believers to come and study the word of God.

What’s next?
MMK is keenly looking on in ministering the Nepali returnees in near future. The Lord has strongly reminded to us that we can never put a full stop in our mission journey. The concern of returnees has been a big burden. How can we help them?
Prayerfully we have come up with some pointers that may help us in regards to the returnees:
- Provide a short term theological training (maximum 1 year) for those who are potential and have proven themselves in Klang Nepali Fellowship.
- Help them to locate the right church back in their home-town.
- Prayer support and counseling in times of crisis.
- Stand with them during persecution.
- Help them to plant a church in their hometown.
(Many of our leaders share this vision with me, to plant a church where there is no church.
Especially Klang Nepali Chautari gratefully wants to convey our “Terima Kashi” to all our MMK families seen and unseen, who have been working tirelessly to make the lives of poor migrants easier and blessed in the Lord. The Lord is no man’s debtor, He will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you. DT 28:8
