Telugu Migrant Ministry News Oct 2008

I came to Malaysia on 20th October, 2007. My wife and I were expecting out first child in November of that year. Like any young man, who is going to be a father for the first time, I wanted to be with my wife and enjoy the arrival of my first child. But … God was calling me. I turned towards my Heavenly Father and asked for Him to speak to me. When I came here it was difficult to adjust and I was missing home but when God puts His hand on something, it only goes one way – for the better.
My son, Steven was born on 17th November, 2007, while I was playing a game of cricket with my new brothers. I am now with MMK and am very happy. There are about six of us, all young pastors who live in one house as one family. We

have a good relationship and share our problems, joy and food! I can cook and I enjoy an added blessing when everyone is happy when I cook for our Pastors Friday Fellowship. Bro. Peter Siah has been very kind during my times of sadness. He is the one who discovered my ability to cook and encouraged me to cook. This brought me closer to the other members of this new family. I also thank Bro. David Abraham who is present every week at the Wesley Methodist Church Klang. This is very important to the foreigners who are here.
Now, almost one year later, I am able to move around on my own to meet up with fellow Telugu brothers. I also meet regularly with non-believers. The Telugu fellowship is small but I believe it will grow. The Telugu brothers who come from India are from a Hindu background and it takes time to reach out to them.
Please pray for me and the brothers and sisters. I am happy to say that we had one brother who was baptized on 15th June, 2008. ‘When man works…. man works but when man prays … God works!’
