Visit by Myanmar Methodist pastors

Many prospective migrants might be beguiled by tales of Malaysia as a land of opportunity, plentiful and rewarding jobs; but are then very disappointed by reality once they finally land on it’s shores.

In order to help their countrymen get a more pragmatic view of Malaysia, in mid-October a group of over 40 Myanmar Methodist pastors visited MMK with the objective of getting a down-to-earth view of the lives of migrants in Malaysia.

With it’s considerable experience dealing with migrant affairs and issues, MMK were able to provide practical advice, tips and real-life stories of migrant life in Malaysia.

This allowed the pastors to return home with a much richer knowledge of Malaysia and to temper expectations of potential migrants; as well as help potential migrants fortify themselves for the challenging journey they might be contemplating.
