Update from Brother Dong Van Duc
After coming back from Malaysia, I went for a short Bible training course in HCM City. Right after that, I was sent to Cambodia as a missionary and I served there for almost a year (from 10/2008 to 11/2009). I then decided to go back to my father land in the Thai Nguyen province, up north of Ha Noi, in the Northern part of Vietnam where the Light of Salvation still has not yet reach to share the Gospel and the Love of God for my people. I have been here for nearly 2 years and have started a church with 25 members now. I truly thank God that He is using me to share the Gospel not only for the Vietnamese Kinh

but also to the tribal groups. In our church, we now also have 3 different tribes like Tay, Nung and Dao.
The most challenging issue we are facing now is the persecution from the authorities. It has been so
hard for us for more than a year. They threaten and pressure my church members’ family and force them not to attend the service. Besides that, we have also been chased from place to place; and until now we are still worshiping in the coffee shops or karaoke centers. Even then, we cannot worship there for more than 2 times at the same place for after that they will threaten the owner and we are asked not to come there again by the owner.
