Elshaddai Refugee Learning Centre (ERLC) Teacher Training course – January 17, 2014
With the ELRC’s intake for 2014 looking to grow by over 20% to 300+ students; it is vitally important to maintain the high teaching standards so far achieved (including a 100% passrate at UPSR).
As part of this ongoing excellence-sustaining effort, the MMK has embarked on a series of training courses for the ERLC teachers.
The first of these was conducted on January 17 at MMK’s offices in Klang, and the topic covered was how to set good, relevant and challenging exam questions.
30 teachers (including 7 from other learning centres and schools eager to benefit from ERLC’s experience and knowledge) attended, with the all-day session conducted by Kam Siew Kin, a former headmistress of ERLC.
More such courses are planned for 2014, and , if the reaction from the attendees was anything to go by, they will be eagerly anticipated.
